Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer, in this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimising data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility. Our engineering teams apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and microservices architecture to build scalable and maintainable systems.

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining, and optimising databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes

• Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data

• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards

• Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes

• Working closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting

• Monitoring database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies

What do you need?

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or related fields

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL & working knowledge of ElasticSearch

• Java programming knowledge

• A strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance

• Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills
