Operational Risk Manager

We are looking for an Operational Risk Manager with Privacy focus to join our risk, compliance and legal team!

What will you be doing?

On a typical working day, you will:

• Assess privacy risks associated with data processing activities, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA

• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects and services

• Identify, evaluate, and document privacy risks, providing actionable recommendations for mitigation

• Monitor and manage privacy incidents, including data breaches, and lead the response process in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, IT, and legal, to implement Privacy by Design and embed privacy risk management in business processes

• Develop and maintain privacy risk management frameworks, including regular audits, policy reviews, and updates

• Train and advise internal teams on privacy risks and best practices, ensuring a privacy-conscious culture throughout the organization

• A relevant degree (e.g., Law, Information Security, Business) or have equivalent professional experience

• Experience in privacy management or data protection within a business environment

• Knowledge of global privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, is a strong advantage

• Familiarity with Privacy by Design principles, data retention policies, and data breach response

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and risks in data processing activities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English

• High level of integrity, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy

What do you bring?

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on risk management experience

• Completed Master in a relevant area. Additional education/certificates in risk is a pre

• Management/information security and related areas could make the difference (like CISSP and CISM, etc.)

• Experience within the financial service industry is a pre

• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
