Financial Risk Manager

We are looking for a Financial Risk Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team!

What will you be doing?

As our Financial Risk Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing MultiSafepay’s (MSP) financial risk management practice.

Your focus will be on merchant, liquidity and fx risk ensuring our framework supports sustainable growth while meeting global regulatory standards.

• Enhance MSP’s financial risk management framework

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day financial risk and drive continuous improvements

• Develop, test, and calibrate risk models and tools using quantitative analysis

• Document risk policies and model methodologies for presentation to the Risk and Compliance Committee and Supervisory Board

• Produce and maintain risk dashboards; monitor limit breaches and recommend remedial actions

• Conduct independent product reviews—assessing the financial-risk implications of new payment methods and major product changes

• Contribute to initiatives in credit risk (merchant reviews, concentration exposure), liquidity risk (settlement, reconciliation) and fx risk (hedging, pricing).

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to align financial risk management with business strategy

• Support a strong risk culture across the organization

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field

• Professional certifications such as FRM or CFA are a pre-requisite

• Proven experience in financial risk management, preferably within fintech, banking, or payment services

• Strong understanding of credit, liquidity, fx risk principles and regulatory expectations

• Experience conducting quantitative risk analysis and building or enhancing risk models

• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python is preferred

• Ability to balance regulatory compliance with commercial objectives

• Strong ability to engage with senior management, regulators, and internal teams on risk matters

• Comfortable working in a dynamic fintech setting

• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus
