About the role

The Dispute Management team monitors and analyses all chargebacks received, responds to and declines chargebacks following merchant notification, and communicates with merchants to obtain all necessary information. The team also monitors chargeback flow on scheme platforms to ensure timely resolution and compliance.

We are looking for an entry level Chargeback Analyst to join this team. In this role, you will perform daily chargeback analysis, communicate with merchants regarding specific documentation needed, analyse scheme platforms, and monitor chargeback activity to ensure accurate and timely resolution.

Job requirements

What you'll be doing:

  • Performing daily analysis across all chargebacks received, identifying patterns and issues that require escalation or investigation

  • Communicating with merchants to obtain specific documentation and information needed to respond to or decline chargebacks

  • Analysing scheme platforms to monitor chargeback flow and ensure compliance with scheme regulations and timelines

  • Tracking and following up on open chargeback cases with merchants and internal stakeholders to ensure resolution within SLAs

  • Staying current with scheme regulation updates and ensuring processes remain compliant with the latest requirements

What you'll need:

  • 1+ years’ of experience in payments operations, particularly in high-volume environments

  • A strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, and comfort working with scheme regulations

  • Understanding of payment flows and financial concepts including settlement, refunds, chargebacks, and fees

  • Any exposure to banking or payments operations, particularly in back-office, dispute resolution, or chargeback environments

  • Clear communication skills and an ownership mindset for tracking issues and follow-ups with stakeholders

  • Working proficiency in English (advanced level)

Nice to have:

  • Internship or entry-level experience in fintech, PSPs, or banking operations

  • Existing knowledge of card scheme regulations and dispute management processes
